These days Apple offers a greater discount when exchanging an old iPhone for a new one, and this type of strategy has made it lead the top cell phones with the greatest clearance in the first quarter of 2022 (Q1 2022). We are talking about the fact that the iPhone achieved 51% of sales, with 19.9 million cell phones sold.

The data comes from Canalys, a consulting firm that analyzes the US smartphone market, and sees good prospects for the sector, despite the risk of a general price rise in 2022.

It seems clear that Apple will continue to dominate sales, since models such as the iPhone SE3 (2022) allow it to also cover those interested in cheap cell phones. Perhaps the greatest interest lies in the lower part of the top, as the Google Pixel 7 aspires to continue popularizing the range in the US and the rest of the world.
